Cheyenne Bottoms, NE Rd 60

I was sitting in the cab of our pickup truck sketching this scene while my husband and his dog were out hunting pheasant. It was freezing! The landscape was gorgeous, and so different from south Louisiana. The U.S. is a fantastic place to travel, especially its natural habitats.

This painting was created using oil sticks. I'm not particularly fond of painting with a brush but I love oil sticks. It's drawing with luscious, creamy oil paints. Love it!
